Volume is an portuguese architectural studio based in Lisbon, established in 2021 by João Caria Lopes e Rodolfo Reis.
In the last 15 years, João
Caria Lopes worked with Manuel Aires Mateus and founded Atelier BASE, Rodolfo Reis worked with CANRAN, Carlos Ferrater and CVDB. Their practices have been awarded and published internationally.
They bring together full experience on singular houses, housing and institutional buildings, offices, masterplans, ephemeral and product design.
Volume’s work is committed to improve architecture
and cities through the conception of holistic and vibrant spaces, inspired by places and human interactions.

Our approach is inclusive, with social, economic and environmental issues integrated into the process. We consider architecture to be a process of continuous dialogue, involving experts, consultants, industry, builders and clients, at all project stages.
